Remanufacturing process

All of our products are fully re-manufactured in our factory to the highest possible standard by our experienced technicians.

All of the components we remanufacture and offer for sale are original equipment (OE) products. We do not remanufacture or offer any of the low-quality copy components that can found for sale in the UK.

Although we remanufacture our products in batches, each component is checked and tested on an individual basis.

Step 1

Initial inspection

a) Dimensions and sizes are checked against our database to confirm it is the correct component.

b) Examination takes place to ensure the casing, threads and mountings are not damaged.

Step 2

Initial test

a) A full test of all the electronic components is carried out.

b) Any fault codes found are analysed and removed. If the fault code cannot be removed, the electronic control unit (ECU) is replaced.

c) The performance of the motor is checked and recorded.

d) Other key electronic components are checked and their performance recorded.

Step 3

Cleaning

a) The component is sealed and all plastic components are masked for protection.

b) Our specialist cleaning process removes dirt and debris and, at the same time, prepares the surface for our paint finish.

Step 4

Disassembly

a) The component is completely disassembled, right down to individual mechanical and electronic parts.

b) Every element is then deep-cleaned using specialist machinery to remove grease and debris without damaging the structure.

Step 5

Mechanical assessment and component replacement

a) All internal components are examined and any found to be outside our stringent tolerances are discarded and replaced with original equipment (OE) specification parts.

b) All seals, bearings, bushes and belts are replaced.

Step 6

Electronics and motor remanufacture

a) The ECU and motor have all high-load components replaced as standard. This includes individual tests on circuits and circuit repairs.

b) The programming is checked and updated with the latest software, if necessary.

Step 7

Reassembly and sealing

a) The component is reassembled with new seals, O-rings and hardware.

b) We take particular care to align and torque everything to manufacturer settings, ensuring long-term reliability.

Step 8

Testing and quality assurance

a) Every remanufactured component undergoes advanced mechanical and electronic testing.

b) We simulate real-world steering loads, cornering forces and temperature extremes, pushing the component well beyond typical driving conditions to ensure durability and performance.

Step 9

Final inspection

a) The completed component is then rechecked against our database to confirm all dimensions are correct.

b) A high-quality paint finish is applied.

c) The component is labelled with its part number, batch number and date of remanufacture.
